Golden Shovel Award
On the lighter side of the recent Msblast worm infestation, might I suggest a “Golden Shovel Award” given to who ever “shoveled the most ____(fill in the blank)” in the last week or so.

Maybe one of the “artsy” types can come up with a certificate of some kind in a jpg.

Mike......the techs worked endless hours helping people fixing problems related to spyware, viruses, etc. The latest blaster worm spell was unbelievably the worst I've seen since being here. Log after log was being posted, and all this with the changes going on with the web site, i.e. inability to report closed threads, etc. Your tech help here never gave into the pressure and problems and pushed on relentlessly. I really think NiteHawk was trying to suggest that someone with artistic quality could make a certificate of appreciation for those who spent endless hours in security helping people with the blaster worm problem. I personally think its a great idea!!!! I actually left random for a spell to watch these people work their butts off. Can ya believe it, I left random? I saw how hard they worked. It sure would be interesting to see a statistical report from Oscar51 on those threads also. But, that being said, I'm partial to Oscar's reports. He does an amazing job.

If all the techs ask for is a certificate of appreciation for shoveling the latest $hite, I personally think its an honorable request. Not that they ever wanted anything more than the satisfaction of helping others for free. Maybe a statistical analysis by Oscar would reveal not only how many hours they spent lately, but who shoveled the most see.

Sounds excellent to me.

I know what you mean -- I've been having 7am-10pm days trying to kill this bug, and I still have a long list of appointments waiting.
