a bit disappoointed
I am very impressed with the breadth of knowledge of the people who respond to the various problems people have with their computers. I have tried twice to get a problem solved yet I only had one person (Bandit) who spent any time trying to help. I come here all the time just to read the problems and responses and I have learned quite a lot. But I haven't seen anybody else with a problem like I am having and am a bit disappointed that it didn't receive more responses.

You know this is a free service and everyone here is a volunteer don't you?? Can't really complain about something that is offered for free now can you.

I know this is a free service, I actually have made a donation. But if you don't think I should express an opinion then I guess that is your opinion

There are also several factors that influence whether or not a question is solvable. See this thread, where this same thing was discussed: http://forums.techguy.org/t199266/s2...ae4b75e09.html

could you specify which thread is persisting??

I don't feel like like going through 153 posts to find one that you aren't being helped on

Hiya

I tend to get stuck at Software, but whenever I'm online, I try to go back 5 days, and work backwards. Hopefully, answer some of those threads that have been overlooked.

Well, we can't have you getting disappointed, now can we??

If anyone wants to help, go to connecting. For such an important issue, you haven't bothered posting back to it since Feb 1!

BTW, donating does not get you put on an "A" list here. I've donated more time and money to this site than I could sometimes afford, but that's cause I respect what it does. I post a question every now and again, and isn't it strange that most of the questions I post here don't get answers! I finally figured it out . . . the folks that might have the answer weren't there, and the ones who didn't have the answer didn't want to waste my time with guesses. I have not given up on them, or this site, and more importantly . . .

I've never once disparaged the folks that come here cause I couldn't get my little problem solved quickly. That, sir, is stupid!

Pay me €80 Euros an hour (That's what you get charged for a Toshiba tech to reinstall Windows) and I will fix your problem, but until then, accept all the volunteer support you get with good grace and patience!!

Sorry if I've, once again, blown my cool, but I'm sick of people who think they "Deserve" something for nothing!!!

RandyG,

I don't think you have anything to apologize for, Stephen47 received 4 pages of help on this issue and looks like he left the thread while people were still trying to help. Also, he seemed to be very short and pushy with some of the responses he received. I think anyone who contributes to the knowledge base of this site should take offense.
