Can we do this?
With so many people posting for problems. It seems like we repeat ourselves forever. Can we set up a page like the following http://www.help2go.com/article217.html and post it in security(pinned)?

Lock it too, as it would only be a post/guide for someone to follow. This would save alot of time going back and forth trying to explain what we want them to do.

This way there is clear and concise directions on what needs to be done. Without everybody jumping in. Yes, we work together. But, it would be so much easier to just post a link to a "TechGuy Hints for a Clean Computer"
page?

This can be posted to the top of Security (maybe). this way everyone can find it. and it would be easy for anyone with a little knowledge to pass it along to help someone else.

I have no idea on how to read a HJT log to correct it. But I do know enough to refer them. It will make it easier for our "techs" to work on problems.

Thanks for letting me rant.

yes, he has good links.

but actually what i meant. maybe a short set of directions.

1. get adaware here and run
2. get HJT here and post log......etc.

just thought it would make it easier for everyone. this way it could possibly walk them through step by step.

they are going to ask "i am stuck" anyway. But instead of two or three posts to get to the 'meat' of the problem. we may be able to do it in one.....just a thought. do not shoot me.....yet.

I never shoot anyone! Your idea might go over or it might not...no harm in asking!
