Slightly Scheduled Maintenance 2005 Mar 7
Hey guys,

Due to one of our other servers going down, I'm going to be in the datacenter around 16:00 Eastern. While there, I'm going to try to upgrade the RAM in one of the TSG web servers. This will cause the site to be slow or unavailable to some people. Please be patient, it shouldn't last long.

Thanks!!

FYI, the RAM upgrade went perfectly. Server 1 now has 2GB of RAM.

Glad to hear it, hewee! And I know that if things are running smoothly for you, they must be fore everyone! Hope all is well, and keep me updated. I'll have to make sure something fails again soon so you don't get too comfortable.

Server 2 today. Everything smooth as silk. When I was on 1 it was slow and bumpy, but now a dream. You do a beautiful job with this site. You do realize, Mike, that most of us are heavily addicted (to the site, thank you very much). We do need notice before anything grave happens to our source of satisfaction.

Me too but see here http://forums.techguy.org/t339146.html and others say things are slow.

Yea things are good but the summer weather is hitting us very early this year. I mean I got the AC on.
Now be good and don't let thing fail.

Have to add that server one is also faster now so the added memory sure helped.
