it probably would not bother them at all. i just meant that they may not want it to be public knowledge. give it a shot. you got nothing to lose.

copied this from the top of this page.

well i guess what I am try'n to say.. is I dont want him to have to do extra work just to answer my question.. if the answer is no then I am ok with that... I did think it was a stupid question just one that is less important.. I guess what I am try'n to say is, I dont think I am going to lose sleep if I dont get an answer

Hehe... no worries.

Due to the load it generated on the web servers, we actually stopped keeping most statistics a long time ago. So, not only is there no public statistics... there also aren't any private ones (at least at the moment).

Well, you must have the bw statistics, no? Can you estimate how many views you get in one day and uniques/day.

do you host them personally or do you have a host you pay for? I was just wondering what kinda bandwidth is used.. even if they are old stats just wondering.. again no worries.. just curious.. I had a forum going for about a year or so.. and never exceded 1gig transfer a day.. but I am sure a place like this goes well over that..

I built all the servers myself, and they're co-located at the datacenter of a local ISP here in Pennsylvania.

I just checked, and our two PHP web servers are averaging about 50KB/s each (kiloBYTES, not kiloBITS). Our imaging server (images.techguy.org) doesn't collect such statistics, though, but obviously it'd be more. So, I'd take a wild guess and say we're using about 500 gigaBYTES of bandwidth a month (or 4000 gigaBITS, as most hosts measure it).

Hope that gives you some idea.
