Solved: Clock Settings Incorrect?
Daylight Saving has finished down here in the Antipodes and mt system clock is showing 06:55 AM (the correct time here) whereas the server clock is showing:

All times are GMT +10. The time now is 07:54 AM.

Question: Has Daylight Saving started in th UK?
If so, have the servers been updated to reflect this?

Only a minor point, not affecting the high performance of this site.

I have logged out, deleted TIF files and cookies then logged back in and it is still the same. I am currently on Server 2.

Thanks in advance

Alan

The server's time is based on GMT, which doesn't observe daylight savings. If your area does, you'll probably want to go to your User CP, choose Edit Options, and then scroll down to Time Zone and make sure your daylight savings settings are correct.

Techguy

The settings in my profile are set correctly. Usually when daylight savings finishes down under it starts in the UK and time differences go from +11 hrs to +9 hrs difference.

I am not sure if that is supposed to be the case currently. DST finished last weekend here and I have just noticed this difference in the times.

I just looked, the server clock at the bottom of my screen here is correct. Doesn't sound like it's a Techguy issue. I think it's probably a DST switchover issue, since DST doesn't switch until tonight here.

I just rebooted my Pc and checked the settings for my clock, all ok. I then started IE again and came to TSG and it still shows a 1hr discrepancy in the time.

Will leave it for 24 hrs until DST takes effect in the Northern Hem and see what happens.

P.S. this time I am on server 1.

Me too, time looks correct. Gee, I hope that when your time corrects that mine doesn't jump off an hour!

Just came back and the time is now 07:30 am locally and
TSG server is now:

All times are GMT +10. The time now is 07:30 AM.

so all seems to have adjusted itself. Will now mark this thread solved.

Thanks Mike and John.

Alan

Edit: Just wondering if DST has started in th UK? If it has then we down here are only +9 hrs from GMT!
