Solved: Google on TSG
Is there a way to get rid of this on the right hand side of the page? It is really annoying and takes up about a third of the page. Half the time it loads a 404 page error anyway.

That would be fine if it were an advertisement wouldn't it?

Yup, that entire right bar is removed for users who donate. And then you don't have to feel bad for using an ad blocker and leeching off the site.

I guess that's yet another good reason to donate.

Yeah, I know -- I'd love to figure out a way to force you ad-blocking leeches to see even more!

Hey Mike how immediate is the change when donating online?

Whether by design or by accident this free subscription time has been addictive!
Arrgh! I feel so cramped now!

As soon as I get my Tax Refund, I am donating!!!
Counting the days...

Officially, I think the page says 24-48 hours, but depending on what time of day you do it, I'd expect no more than 6-12 hours.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Well donating is best because it helps out the site.
You will get a better page layout.

But a hosts file can help but it will not work on that ad if it comes from this site.

Also, if everyone blocked the ads with hosts file or anything else, we wouldn't be able to keep this place running!

Mike how do you receive Revenue from these ads?
Do they pay for just showing on the site, or do they pay when one of us actually click the links?

As soon as I get my Tax Refund, I am donating!!!
Counting the days... 27 more.

I am borrowing your unsmiley JohnWill, hope you don't mind!
