How about a Stickie on CD problems?
Given the numerous posts in Multimedia about CD/DVD drives not being recognised and/or problems with burning/reading, how about collating advice into a Stickie?

I know people are still likely to post their problems without searching the forum or reading Stickies beforehand, but at least helpers could initially respond with a suggestion that they read the Stickie first and post back if they have additional issues or if their specific problem is not covered.

Might save a good deal of time and repetition of advice.

If we put stickies for every "common" problem, the first three or four pages of the individual forums would be full of stickies.

One thing that I think might be a better solution is to have a link to common problems and solutions and collect them all indexed in that area. A link like the board FAQ, except for computer problems.

We discuss such a feature from time to time, one of these days we'll get around to creating it.
