Spell check problem
On server 1 (not sure about 2), when repying to this thread, if I spell check my post, then click "Finish Checking", it adds this to the end of my post...
Quote:
</textarea>
<input type="hidden" name="form" value="vbform">
<input type="hidden" name="field" value="message">
</div><div class="goback">Click <a href="spell.cgi">here</a> to check more text.<br>
Go <a href="#" onclick="window.history.back()">back</a> to the previous page.<br>
Click <a href="#" onclick="window.close();">here</a> to close this window.
</div></form></div>
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
unescape_string();
function unescape_string() {
var quot = new RegExp("!QUOT!","g");
// unescape !QUOT! to "
document.done.checked.value=(document.done.checked.value.replace(quot,'"')) ;
}
//-->
</script></body></html>
If I spell check it again, then click "Finish Checking", it adds it again. Is it something wrong on my side with the javascript, or something server side?

Do you see this in the check window or the final post?

I just went in to edit your post and spell-checked it. It didn't add anything for me, but of course I didn't post the final result since I didn't want to alter your post.

It doesn't show it in the check window, but when it fixes the corrections made, it adds all that to the end.

I tried it on some of my other posts, but it doesn't happen, just the last post in that thread, post #3102174.

Must be something inside the thread, like those <script> entries confusing it.

Ya, that sounds pretty probable. I'll just delete it again if it happens again.

Thanks for the reply.

So long as it doesn't happen all the time, I guess that will work.

IESpell is how I do spell checking. Much faster than the on-line checks anyway and it's free.

Looks great, but does it have a Firefox clone?
