Networking Section
Hi Help on the.net,

I use your forums a lot, especially the Networking Forum, as I am particularly experienced in that field.

I was wondering if people would find it easier if the Networking forum was split into Wired and Wireless sections, then people that read the forums, can give specialist details on the status of their network whether it is wired or wireless.

I personally think this would help people trying to write a thread, because they can then look at Wireless issues and perhaps prevent multiple messages of the same type.

I would appreciate your thoughts, and whatever your decision – Techguyforums.org is the best forum based technical support around.

Thanks, and best regards,

Jon

Everything is after the upgrade, honestly I don't think a split is needed.

"I am working with my D-Link wireless NIC" is all it takes to split the thread as the forums stand now.

I mean, I think it would be convenient, but if everytime something like this arose we split the forums, well, lets work it out.

Hardware <PC, Other. PC, CPU, AMD< Intel.
AMD= Athlon, Athlon XP, Athlon MP, Athlon 64, Duron, sempron. Sempron 754, Athlon 754, Athlon 939, Opteron.

Eventually there would be so many sub forums the site would be useless!

I exagerated of course, but you see my point.

IMO, it will just create confusion. We already have a problem with people posting to multiple sections to "make sure" someone sees their issue. If we split networking, we'll just have another set of forums that get duplicate posts. I haven't had any trouble getting confused as to what I'm working on there.
