I have been opening my postings and then selecting "edit". After editing, I save them but they do not show "solved" in the Title.
Is there something I am missing when I try it?

Pic of it's location if you need it.. | | Distinguished Member with 14,835 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2003 Location: -71.45091, 42.27841 | | Quote: |

Thanks | Hi dmullen,
Only you (and/or probably? a moderator) can mark your own thread as solved.
When I pull-down the thread tools for this thread, there is no 'mark as solved' selection for my account on your thread.

So lotuseclat79 go to a thread yo started and you will see the mark as solved from the dropdown. | | Account Disabled with 8,750 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2001 Location: Mass. | | Hi hewee

I went to the "mark as solved" box and checked it. So far it has not shown up on the posting but maybe it takes a little time. I have done it 3-4 times so far.
Will watch it now that you have shown me how to do this. | | Account Disabled with 8,750 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2001 Location: Mass. | | have you refreshed the page? | | Senior Member with 954 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2005 Experience: Intermediate | | I have kept on trying but it is not working. I open the thread, go to thread tools, mark the solved button and then hit the apply button but it is not taking for some reason.
I did try to refresh the page and that didn't help either. When I go back to the thread tools, the solved button is always unchecked after I leave the thread and come back.

#11 | I found out why it was not working. Before you told me how to mark these as solved, I had gone in and edited the title. Put in "Solved" manually and saved it.
Apparently, my change in the title of the thread stopped the thread tools from entering solved. After removing the word "solved" that I had entered manually, the thread tools worked OK. | | Account Disabled with 8,750 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2001 Location: Mass. |
