Bet that subject got your attention!

Why is it that everytime I go to post multiple links using vB code that it doesn't work??? It only works if I post one. More than one, forget about it. When I try nothing shows up in the post. Not even the paragraph that includes the vB code link. I always have to go back and edit the post and remove the code and just post the url's.

WHAT'S UP??

Without any examples, it's difficult for me to tell you what you're doing wrong. But it always works for me... www.mikeandheather.net, www.techguy.org, www.techsupportguy.com... Make sure you're ending your tags with a /url (or whatever tag you might be using) and be sure to use quotes when specifying a url. Feel free to see the write-up on using vB code

Again, it's impossible to say without seeing it, but I've only seen things like that happen when either (1) the tag wasn't ended or (2) the urls didn't have quotes. Double-check the vB Code

Can either of you get it to happen again or is your post with link problems still there Brian?

this thread from this morning, two links with the correct tags to ms articles, I ended up double posting to get the links to show. all I did was cut and paste one of the links to a new post with no editting.

brianF, you're missing quotes around the urls... see the vB Code

Your not putting the quotes. Click on Edit on my post and you'll see the difference. I copied your two links and posted and there was only one like you said. Then I added the quotes and you can see it's ok now.

Ahh, EUREKA! I get it now. I wasn't using the quotes either. But why do you need quotes anyway? You didn't need them on the old board. I've never had to add quotes on any other board either and I surf around to quite a few. But I guess that's just how this one site works.

Anyhooo case closed. You can mark this thread solved if you like.

Thanks
