Solved: File Attachments and the Apparent Implications of Mis-management.
Hello,

If, as the redoubtable JohnWill suggests here, and quoted below:

Quote:
Posts like this are the reason, the graphics string out and prevent the word wrap. This post should look familiar, since you posted it.
it would seem to me that the limit of five files permitted to be uploaded at one time into one post, together (perhaps) with the stated "MaxFilesize 200.0 KB", should be amended in order to prevent the disarray of the the first page of any given thread - this one for instance.

The post in question here, has four graphics files for a total size of 72.5 KB.

I remain uncertain as to why only the first page of the thread is affected whilst the three following pages wrap normally. The 'offending' post being, currently, at #52, the last post in the thread.

Ben.

Howdy

There may be need for an adjustment or improvement but so you know your post with the images has nothing to do with the bad wrap on the first page of the thread you refer to... It is post number 15 which displays some code and effects only the page that the offending post is on.

As far as images go as long as they fit side by side given your monitors resolution setting they will ...if they exceed the width resolution of your settings they will automaticlly stack

I think buck is right, I just tried an example, and it wrapped them as I thought it should. I didn't spot post #15, which is probably the real culprit.

I just went in and edited the PHP statements out of that post, and now things wrap properly. Ben, I apologize for blaming your graphics for the problem.

Maybe would have been nice to let aarhus2004 see for him/her self rather than edit

Hello buck52,

Your input is very much appreciated. And yes, seeing that post (#15) as it originally was may have helped me understand what happened, but, then again, perhaps it wouldn't! I am happy enough to have had the thread tidied.

JohnWill, hello, I accept your apology - I am very happy to do so. As for the 'culprit' PHP (I had to look it up - PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (HTML-embedded scripting language) and I am left, as so often is the case, longing to have had an education in the relevant field!

To you both, my thanks.

Cheers.

Ben.

Buck, I'm a compulsive clean-up artist. Besides, it wasn't his post that caused the issue, he did nothing wrong. I really have no idea why the poster used PHP tags on the text, it was certainly mis-placed.
