Question Solved: I have a question, actually, and not sure where to put it?
I have been reading SO many threads and have truly learned a lot! Many thanks to all!

I saw something that I am curious about in someones 'bottom' information.

My question is: Is it okay to pm them about it ? or would that be being a pest?

I am such a novice and still learning the ropes! I want to follow the proper etiquette.

Thank you!

If you're talking about the Signatures, you can add one in your profile. Click on My Account in the upper left corner of the page and edit your signature line. The first option on the left column is the Signature Line Edit link.

If someone wasn't amenable to receiving inquiries about something in their signature, they wouldn't have put it in there. Generally, if you put something in a publically viewable form like signatures or your profile, you don't mind if people ask you about it.

Just click on their name, you can then either go to their profile and send them an email or a PM.

Or if you want to send them a PM real quick, click on their name and there is a little "Send JohnnyGirl a PM", click that and away you go!

Hope it helped

I would think there would be nothing wrong with PM ing somebody. There is a way to block that in ones account if they dont want to be bothered. and as long as you dont do what some salesguy did here trying to get me to let him webhost for my work's website. in which case i told him i would report him to a moderator and he then apologized and stopped. in other words if you PM somebody and then don't respond I think that would mean they dont want to be bothered.

my two cents worth anyway
