"Today's Posts" Without Community Forums
When I read TSG, I usually click Quick Links -> Today's Posts. The results include Random and Debate, and I'd like to just see the technical forums. Is there a search I can perform similar to the Today's Posts search and filter out the Community forums?

Use the New Posts menu instead.

"Today's Posts" and "New Posts" function differently. If I don't log in for a day or even several hours and then click "New Posts", all posts since I last logged in are returned. If I don't have time to read through them all and close my session, when I come back later and click "New Posts", I only see those posted since that most recent login, not the posts from earlier in the day before I logged in last.

I usually only have a few minutes at a time to read posts, so "New Posts" would give me a pretty short list since the "Last visit" counter resets every time I read just a few posts, and the "New Posts" function keys off that counter.

Yup, you're right -- I just didn't know anyone actually used the Daily posts. With so many, I didn't think it was particularly useful and almost removed the feature completely during the last upgrade. I'll check it out and see if we can modify that in the future, though!
