is it customary for members here to ignore newcomer questions? no one has answered my thread: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...onvert-xp.html ...posting it in random now...what does it take to get people to reply to ur threads?

actually, forumman, the last poster in your thread before your bumps asked you to post a screenshot, saying it might help clarify....

i can't tell you why more people didn't post in your thread, but i can tell you how i approach things if i have a question that i don't know the answer to.....my style is just to be as succinct as possible and say what i've tried or do know, as well as say as much as i can about the specific problem i'm having....the people that are willing to help are willing to help any and everyone...they deal with a lot of posts in a day...if you can get to the heart of the matter quickly, you're more like to get helpful responses

you'll note that i'm a "beginner", so that might be part of this opinion, but i personally found your humor to confuse the entire question....it maybe why a screen shot was requested....

btw....you never posted it .....and welcome to tsg!!!

and bumping the post 30 mins apart from each other doesn't help, especially at 1 in the morning when most of the english posters are in bed
