Nice job Mike, very little down time and everything is working just fine. Most places don't have that much luck with an upgrade like this.

Thanks, guys! Looks like everything went exactly to plan. No loss of data, and (as you pointed out), very little downtime. I just hope the number of happy users out-number the unhappy.

Yep, it looks fabulous and the pages are loading noticeably faster. Is it the software that improved the page load times, did you do something to the server or is it just a result of dumb luck.

Great job as usual ....

BTW, just to complain, I hope that annoying little box that covers the link to the forums will go away soon or if it's default position on the screen could just be moved. I have to keep moving it to get to the forums link.

Jelsoft (the makers of vBulletin, the program we're running) claims that this version runs much faster than the one we were. However, I didn't expect to be able to SEE a difference.

There have been no changes to the server hardware or any other software.

There's a huge difference but I guess well see what happens as more users log on.

What about that darn message box? How many days before you'll remove it. Not trying to be a pain but it is really annoying to have to keep pulling it out of the way.

Mike take a look at this. And while your at it, I was going to move it to this forum but I can't find any moderator options to Move a thread or do anything as a moderator. Is it me, the software or my profile?

Actually I see your already aware of it. Sorry ....

Now if I could just find the Moderator options I'd be fine.

Hyperlinks
The new board is awesome, but I seem to be having a problem with the links: my "visited" links don't change colour, they stay black. Is this the way it's supposed to be with the new board? Please tell me it's not because it makes it a lot easier to see which threads you've already read. Other than that I really like it. The page loading is a lot quicker. Great job!

I just noticed that there isn't an email button below Users names anymore, just a Private Message button. Is this the same as emailing? Or does one have to click on the User's Profile to email another member? I better go check the FAQ again...
