Tech Guy I already did and those 1000 post were in the last 3 months. Sorry but maybe we are just to close together to get this right, drop down off of the mountain and stop in Gettysburg and we will discuss it.

No big deal, I just thought I would say something because it might be happening to others getting that email that have been taking an active part in the site.

Have a good evening,

Rick

Almost 2,000 people just got that message. I've yet to determine how vBulletin decided who would get them. Each time I run a search, it's showing different results. I'm waiting to hear from them on the issue...

No need to worry about it as far as I am concerned, I just wanted to mention it so you knew it was happening.

A regular user actually it wouldn't hurt in any way but as I said I just wanted to alert you that it was happening.

Rick

I'm sure you probably have more important things to worry about after all the changes you made to make this site more user friendly and a greater place to visit and learn.

There was a major problem with vB, the program controlling the users. I'm still trying to figure out what happened, but rest assured that no users will be removed.

Are you sure it was only 2000 . . .?
I got the email message as well, but since I tend to log in every day (of course the only day I didn't was Saturday when you made the change . . . I have to golf sometime, dontchaknow!!) I figured this had to do with the changeover. Is it possible that when you migrated the accounts over, it triggered this update mail? Is it possible that every registered user actually received this mail?

It's not going to do any harm, I believe. One, it might actually remind some people who have lost the link of where you are, and 2, it will only drive more people back here, to see the new changes.

Are you sure this was an "error in the program"? Seems to have been a beneficial one!

Thumbs up Account Info
Hello Everyone!

Just checking in to see what is happening with the tech guys. I see that everything is okay with my account. Just want to say thanks again for the help you have given me in the past. I don't post much because I try to use the forum as a last resort so as not to become a burden.

Thanks for your help...
