We're still working on it. Dan and I toured a nice facility near DC last week, but it's a looong drive, especially in the morning or evening (traffic in/out of DC). We're going to visit one much closer (in Frederick), but so far it doesn't look nearly as reliable, but much closer. We'll be visiting them on Tuesday evening. I'm going out of town on Thursday evening, so I suspect we'll be deciding before that!

Thanks for the concerns. I've just been really busy with this server move, working on the new building for my other business, and going to Pittsburgh to see family for Thanksgiving. And now I have to prepare for my trip to Nashville. *phew* I need some rest!

Just to let everyone know, I just signed the agreement for our new home in Silver Spring, MD. It's about two hours from my location, depending on DC traffic, but it's a very nice facility and I think we'll be well connected there for a long time. I expect the big move to take place mid-December (maybe the 16 or 17), but I'll let you know as soon as it's official.

I presume we'll be enjoying a day or so of downtime right around then.

Yes, we own all of the hardware, so it's going to take a physical move of the hardware from Carlisle, pa to near DC. Worse than that, we'll like be in for a wait as IP addresses get changed. I don't think it will last even a day for TSG, but you know how that goes...

Even part of a day is too much. Just kidding Mike. Good going and thanks for the effort.

The servers will be about 25 miles from my home. As a matter of the fact, I lived in Silver Spring when I first came to Maryland. Then I moved to Columbia and finally we bought the house in Glen Burnie.

It might be a good place for servers to reside, but I wouldn't wanna move back to S.S. on a bet.

I might know them, I live in the Ferndale section of Glen Burnie. Pretty red really. It works for this old hillbilly though, If there wasn't at least one junk car in one of the neighbors back yard I wouldn't feel at home.

Everything will be the same, the databases and other files on the TSG servers will not be altered. They are moving the physical location of the server.
