Question Status on the DC move?
Looks like the thread discussing this is no longer active and I for one feel it'd be nice if this community got updates on this as the move progresses (including possible choices for a new DC that way members can chime in if they have had any positive/negative feedback with any of the DCs that're being considered for the move)...so whatcha think TechGuy, how about keeping us up to date with a pinned thread in Site Comments & Suggestions? And how's it going now? Made a decision on the DC yet? If not, which ones are you down to now? Any estimated/planned date for the move yet as well as info on how long it'll take? Perhaps you'll be able to keep us up to date on the move at tsgstatus.com too while the servers are being moved and this site is down....

For those of you who don't know.
TechGuy: The server farm that currently holds the TSG servers is closing its doors. So, we need to find them a new home. Does anyone know of a good colocation facilities around Carlisle, PA or Frederick, MD (or anywhere in between)?

TechGuy: I have a lead on one in Frederick, but it'll be nice to have some alternatives!

TechGuy: Anyway, we'll need about half a cabinet and we have 45 days to get out... [Posted on November 2]

We're in the process of building a new location for my local computer business -- which will include new HVAC, security, etc. I wouldn't mind having them there, and even buying a generator down the road, but the cost of getting a decent connection will probably be HUGE. I'm getting some prices anyway. Of course, the connections wouldn't be redundant as they would be in a datacenter, but if the price is right, it might be something to consider. I'm looking at all of the possibilities!

Why would you bump a thread that's already at the top of the page?

hmm, maybe because it wasn't (I don't consider a thread lower then 3+ others at the top)
