Then change the name of this site. How about Talk Support Guy.It is a free site that ask for money if you can give. Without the useless rooms involved would the new servers or bandwith be needed, hence the money?

It's obstinance like what your showing that leads to the problems in CD.

My point did not have anything to do with bandwidth, it had to do with the uses this site has , and the attitude of a minority { I believe}.
You obviously enjoy the tech rooms , thats good , so do I , but I also enjoy the other rooms --as do others.. I don't see them as useless, in fact more useful to me than the linux forum.
Why desire to restrict topics if not required?.
As far as money, Cermak needs it , I pay it or see that it is payed . Quite a bargain IMO.
When I have fixed someones PC , due to advice of experts here , whether its advice passed on to me , or they have posted , I always ask that they make donation, only right , and still a bargain.
As too changing the name , now that is downright silly and you know it. > f

Tech is where it's at here if this site wants to survive as a tech site.As of now in the present tense Talk Support Guy fits very well.

Not to start any problem with you , but fact is , at least IMO, the tech forums are not negatively affected by the others.
If you don't frequent the "talk" forums , you wouldn't know they were even there.
I don't go to games forum , but I see no harm that many do, and enjoy it..
I believe that if you remove everything but strictly tech forums , you would not in fact, have gained a thing, other than bandwidth.
It would definately be a lesser site--for many. >f

More bandwith and less servers=less need for money as stated before.

You get rid of the community forums, and you wind up with off-topic posts getting out of hand in the tech forums. That's why they were created in the first place, correct?

Also, to the people obsessed with post count - what does it matter?
