It's by far the most common cause for delays right now -- we moved to a new datacenter last month, and as a result have new IP addresses. If someone had an old IP address for any one of our servers in their hosts file, it would take quite a while before they got switched over to a different machine. Also, if someone is trying to block ads or other scripts by putting an invalid address in the hosts file, it may take the browser some time before giving up on loading it. Just trying to help.

When you did the software upgrade in I think Dec 2005 some of the things that started back then still happen.
Like where images come from that make up the web page. You know the buttons icons etc that I think you moved to another server.

My hosts file has nothing to do with this either. I had clicked on a link and then I got to wait before anything happens.

Then the other things that happen that I said started over a year ago is the page loads but it i waiting for something like images for the icons.
I can not keep everything in the cache all the time and clear it each day.
Then in the images threads the new post still do not show up right because I can go to the same thread for days and each time it takes me back days to the same post and I have to scroll down to find the new post.

Anyhow here are shots of the of the page that loaded but could not finish loading everything because it could not find the "New posts" icon.
This is on server 1.
