Solved: Does no email notification get overridden by subscription to a thread?
Either Friday night or Saturday I set my default profile option to (no email notification which was previously set to instant email notification), but yet I am still getting emails presumably because I am still subscribed to threads?

Is this what is supposed to happen? Or, maybe it takes a week or so to be removed from receiving email notification as its possibly a manual modification requiring a human interaction?

If so, could you not then make a new option to unsubscribe from all threads so that a person would not have to unsubscribe manually to several hundreds or thousands of threads? Its implementation would probably be by script (perhaps automatically triggered upon detection) that gathers (pointers or URL links to) all of the threads an account is subscribed to, and removes that account from the list of subscribed accounts to a thread (I'm guessing) which is I suppose another bookkeeping list that implements subscriptions to threads.

There is a link at the bottom of every email notification that allows you to unsubscribe from all threads. The drop-down option you choose only applies to new ones.

You can look at your list of subscribe and then put a checkmark by them and then at the bottom drop down below "Update Subscription Type" pick from there what you want.

Hi TechGuy,

Ok, so I clicked on the link at the bottom of one of the email notifications which takes me to My Account->Subscriptions

I do not see anyway to delete all of the subscriptions (2352). I do see two links:
View all Subscribed Threads and Edit Folders

Exactly what must I do? There does not appear to be any directions on deleting all subscriptions with a single click control. What am I missing?

P.S. Note: Using Firefox 2.0.0.6 under Ubuntu Linux Fiesty Fawn derivative Ultimate Ubuntu 1.4 Live CD.
