Multiple notifications for same thread
Hi All-

This has happened in the past, with sometimes as many as 30 notifications

I remembered now, because it started again. I just got 3 e-mail notifications right in a row for this post http://forums.techguy.org/civilized-...ml#post5000890

Anyone know why this is?

Thanks,

Joe

Maybe because you got the "Instant Email notification" checked.
But you should only get a "Instant Email notification" for each new post so if only one new post was made and you got 3 emails then somethings is screwed up.

So check your setting on the thread. Then maybe put a checkmark by that Subscribed Thread and then go to the dropdown at the bottom and pick what you want for the Subscribed Thread.

Yes, I have the instant e-mail notification turned on for all my threads. I got another one the other day that I got 7 e-mails for the same post, but I can't remember what post it was for, so I figure something's a little messed up.

Wow it sure wants you to know about a post with so many emails.
Maybe if you change the setting and log out and then come back and change the setting back will knock out a bug that is doing this.
