TSG's 'Frequently Asked Questions'.
Hello, and to whom it may concern

I don't know where to post my problem.

How do I decide the appropriate forum in which to post :-

* A question about using my computer..

* A vague problem.- I am a newbie.

* A fear of virus or other infection. I am guessing though.

* A specific, re-occurrent and new/recent glitch/fault/annoyanance.

Are there any forums where I should not post about problems with my computer?

Where can I find guidelines to help me decide where to post?

Is my operating system more significant than the version of the player giving me problems?

Does it really matter where I post my problem because I know the posts can be moved?

Does it help to give basic detail of my system in my profile?

What are those basic details?

Why isn't there a 'Don't know where to post?' forum?

Why are there forums for different operating systems, and what types of problem should be posted in those?

In the FAQ section I can't find any guidelines as to where to post - does this mean it is not important?

What I have I missed?

There's also the Welcome Guide that gives some good information:

http://www.techguy.org/welcome.html

and the descriptions indicated beneath every forum on the main forums page that give an indiciation of what should be posted in that particular forum.

Of course there will always be some gray areas for some issues as to where to post them.
