Tech tips and tricks forum has a 'cool site of the day' thread, and there are some sticky threads at the top of some of the forums with software and comments that anyone can post in. I quite like it the way it is, as I don't have to sort through unrelated stuff if I'm looking for something in particular.

We also have a "Reviews" section, but it doesn't include any formal rating system as of yet.

IMO, "formal" rating systems are somewhat useless unless there's an objective standard that everyone adheres to in reviewing a product. That's simply not going to happen with the diverse population here.
