Solved: can't access search
Hi all,

What do you call the little blinking line which goes ahead of the words as I write this

document. It's not the cursor right? The mouse moves the cursor right? Whatever it is called

it does not appear when I go to the "search" box and click however if I go to the "advanced

search"and click it does appear.Why?

Thanks,
John

That would be the cursor. The cursor moves as you type. The mouse can only position the cursor.

Does this happen every time? You did say you clicked but just to be sure, you click in the box to position your cursor there before typing? Even though the cursor doesn't show, are you able to type anything in the search box?

Sounds very strange. Does it just happen on this site?

I can't get the search to work. I have done a couple and the search takes a long time and then when done I only see a blank page.

Although a little slow, it worked for me (on server 2).

Sounds like a problem at your end, Search works fine for me on all the servers. I just refreshed a couple of times and got to Server 2, works just fine.
