Emulate IE7 on IE8
Hi Mike,

Thought I'd let you know, as Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 is public beta, using the standard mode breaks the layout and functionnalities of vBulletin.

I know most will not use IE8 yet, but there are still a few devs -- like myself who test, and use it. So, you can force anyone using IE8, to use the "Emulate IE7" button without having to click on it, simply do the following:

In the 'headinclude' template, at the very top, add the following:

Code:
<if condition="is_browser('ie', '8')"><meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" /></if>
Save and you're done!

Hope this helps, Mike!

Regards Jason

I haven't installed IE8 on any computers yet, but just added that code. Maybe someone can report back and let me know if it works. Thanks, Jason!

Yes, it works Mike.

Not a problem at all, glad to help

I'll make sure I remind you to remove it, once IE 8 is a stable release, just incase you forget hehe.

Regards Jason
