Put a sticky in the "Do it yourself projects" ??
There were some comments that the Do it yourself forum has changed from what it used to be.

Which was for non computer related issues.

I think at the last upgrades to the website it changed where the forum was located?

Might help to put a sticky at the top of the Do it yourself forum to explain that this is for non computer related issues.

Unless that was not the intent of Tech Guy

We've had this discussion before, and I've asked that the forum description be clarified as to the intent of the forum.

I'm still waiting for a response from Mike.

I replied to your PM, John. As I said then, your suggested change was far too long to fit as a forum description. If someone would like to suggest a new description, I'd be glad to consider it, but it needs to fit in the space available.

OK, it's a contest. Who can come up with a shorter description? BTW, exactly how long a description is possible, is there a maximum word or character count?

BTW, I guess I assumed you were going to shorten it to something that fit, I must have misunderstood.

I would presume anything that is a line or so. What was your suggested description John?

My text was:

Projects ranging from automotive issues, electronics projects, home improvements, etc. Computer topics should be posted in the correct hardware or software forums.

How about:

Projects such as automotive issues, electronics projects, home improvements, etc. that are not computer related.

I still don't understand what separates this from the Miscellaneous Tech forum and why we need two forums.
