is it just me or did TechGuy have HTTP 500 errors for a few minutes? Firefox and IE both couldn't access TechGuy at around 7:15pm PST

There was a notice earlier about the site being down due to updates during that time.

If you really need to find out what is going on you can always do a google for Tech Guy status

It's www.tsgstatus.com

Whenever we're working on the site, you'll find messages there.

I could have done that but I was too lazy and then it would harm my image.

I see that you still haven't fixed the insane search times bug yet...Is that a particularly hard one to fix?

As Mike as already said, there are other things to fix first. He will get round to it, just give it some more time.

I'm not sure that the time issue will be a difficult one to fix -- It's just very far down on my list of things to do. (Who cares what it says anyway?) There's just far more important things to fix -- like Unanswered Threads and Advanced Search sorting.

Anyway to reclaim the real estate to the right of thread info? Using IE7 if that has anything to do with it.

Wino,

You can go to "My Account" - "Edit Options" and at the very bottom under "Show Sidebar" you can elect to hide it but only if you're a premium member. This will work on all pages except for the main forum categories page.
