You have more space than I do on my 17" HP monitor set at 1024 x 768.
22" set at 1680 x 1050 which is the same as it was set to before the changes. It sure wasn't like that before.

well it's definitely different,

I'm starting to get used to it,
though I have dimmed the brightness of my laptop monitor since I've been on here,

it's not all bad though.

I figured you would start using that logo.

EDIT to the 2 replies above my post: I want the time stamp back too!!

Some things like page navigation has too small font size and the all white look is definely a no no. Do the editors wear sunglasses all the time? I'm getting floaters.

I tried to logon and the Go button was displaced to the middle of the page, it also didn't accept my login so I had to click on My Account and log in there before it was accepted. Is this change for change's sake? I wonder.

It happens on all pages without the "forums." prefix e.g. Donate and the store

I am glad TSG is back! I had withdrawals yesterday and joined another forum where the topic de jour was which torrent site has the fastest download for SP3 RTM and which MD-5 hash is the real deal.

After using the site for a few hours I will make this observation .
The colors and appearance are not really that important , and most of us are resistant to any change anyway.
As Mike has pointed out " you can not please everyone "
The white background is another matter --- eyestrain -- and I suspect that will be fixed .
Functionality is what is most important , and I find one really big problem.
Time/Date on posts .
Its far more important on forums than I realized , never really thought about it !.
That is one thing I think must be fixed .
When a post is made ......makes a big difference, is important in many ways .
I have not read every post , so if Mike has addressed this --- sorry !
