Solved: Suggestion: Add ability to sort by Forum for Search Results
I'd like to be able to sort the results of a search by Forum. With a secondary sort option of either date/time of First post, or Last reply. I would prefer Oldest first for either of these options.

Would be especially helpful for the Unanswered Threads Quick Link. That way you can skip forums you don't follow, and go straight to the particular forum you're in the "mood" for.

Thanks,

Jerry

Advanced Search will offer much of this and is currently on our "To Do" list.

I knew that Sort by Forum was there in Advanced Search, really I did. Must be a sign of impending Senior Moments, or lack of caffeine, or something else not my fault.

I was thinking more about the Unanswered Threads Quick Link though, as the saved preference doesn't seem to apply.

The Unanswered Threads actually worked a couple of times earlier this morning, but is not again.

Under Advanced Search though, choosing a number for Find Threads with [At Least | At Most] X Replies never seems to work. Probably same bug affecting the Unanswered Threads Quick Link that's already on the ToDo list.

Really appreciate the hard work you're putting into this great forum!.

Jerry

You'll find both of those items on our "To Do" list in this forum. We just haven't figured out why it works "sometimes" -- if it failed consistently, it'd be a lot easier to troubleshoot!
