Angel's Fun Game has reached 100,000 posts
On Tuesday, 17 June 2008 at 11:17 AM GMT, the 100,000th post was submitted to "Angel's Fun Game". That post may be inspected at http://forums.techguy.org/5931925-post1559.html

To commemorate that epochal event, I have produced a brief report called "Angel's Fun Game! The Second Fifty-thousand Posts" available at http://mysite.verizon.net/pcredin/tsg/tsgrpt8a.html

Warning: This report is chuck full of numbers, so if your eyes start to glaze over trying to read all of them, just read the words to get the drift of things. It's all in fun, of course.

You're right, hewee, that sure is something. And you're at the top of the list with 12,124 of those 100K posts.

Plus still at the top and I have not played the game in a long time either. You think I would not be at the top anymore.

Darlene,

I don't know if you are aware that Oscar51 keeps some mighty "mean" statistics (meant in a good way ) of various data relating to TSG that is fascinating.

Here's a link to more data that you might find interesting:

Hi, Cookiegal!

Thank you for the link! I checked it out! Pretty neat stuff! I wasn't surprised at all to see my sister's name in the top 10! I also know she is the 1 listed as Always Remembered In Our Hearts!

I guess what surprised me when I looked at the Quick Links - Members List... That out of 368,210 Pages... I find myself on Page 4!!!!! Page 4? I would like to think it just means that others don't really have much to say!

You're quite welcome.

Yes, I gave Marlene her own special title when she left us to reflect how special and dear she was to us.

twinofangelize56: “How long?” Sustained effort? Maybe an hour or two each morning since the middle of May. My biggest task in putting the report in final form (besides deciding what to say) was to arrange all the tables in html format so they looked presentable. The most irritating hassle as the game progressed over the years was the need to change my filtering software every time the format of the source pages changed when Mike did a vB software upgrade or other modification. Otherwise it was just a matter of checking the current game thread every week or so to see it was closed or not and, if the thread was closed, to run my software to extract all the word pairs. The job is called “bean counting” and I learned how to do it while working for the government. It's hard to give up old work habits.
