Solved: Redirect loop
Hi, just got this error when trying to open this: http://forums.techguy.org/site-comme...-post-new.html

On Server 1, 5, & 6
it still does the same thing.

Redirect Loop

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

Interesting, I get the same thing.

IE gets a "cannot display this page" error.

I had the Firefox Cookies error message problem right after I tried to mark a thread that I had started in the site comments forum (http://forums.techguy.org/site-comme...-new-post.html) earlier as "Solved". After I clicked the "Mark as Solved" button at the top of the thread I got a TSG page saying something about going back to the previous page and then I got the error message. I also got the error message if I tried to open the page from my subscribed threads list page.

Ì just wanted to note that I've brought this to TechGuy's attention and I'm sure he'll post here as soon as he can get to it.

I've experienced this infinite loop as well when trying to access the thread the OP mentions

Very strange... I'm not sure what's up with it, but asked Dan to see if he can stop anything. I'm not sure how much trouble it's worth, though.

Looks like a corrupted database, I guess that's why we were concerned.

Well, if it's only one post, I guess Mike's opinion of the return on investment of time is probably correct. OTOH, if it happens for more, then I suspect the issue will be revisited.

To me, that doesn't look like a corrupted database. It seems more likely a problem with vBSEO - as that rewrites urls. Anywho, a repair on all tables would prove my theory correct.
