#46 | One thing I've learned in 90,000 posts, you have to have a thick skin.  There are some days that people will just be obnoxious, no matter what you say. If a particular thread gets under your skin, it's best to simply move on, there are lots of other threads where you input may be better received.

But seriously: he brings up a very valuable point. When helping other on such a busy site you quickly learn that time is a precious commodity. You can't waste in on people that don't or can't appreciate your efforts. Never get involved with personality conflict with somebody. The time you waste arguing the point is time you don't spend helping somebody. If you think somebody is out of line (either the person asking for help or somebody offering help) refrain from reacting and report the post, then move on to better things.
