#16 | I agree that it definitely looks like it's part of the service we offer here and is very misleading. The person who actually did try it that was mentioned earlier on in this thread was not a new member and yet they still thought that's what they should do to get assistance.

#19 | The colors are VERY similar, but I don't think they're trying to be misleading -- I think their site just happens to use a similar color. Even so, I'll spend some time researching their history when I've got a few minutes tomorrow to make sure there are no serious and recurring issues that I think would be cause for removal. I think this is like a LivePerson or Yahoo Answers kind of site -- just like most community sites, they have a limited ability to check out their "experts." If everything looks OK, I think I'll just ask them to redesign the ad for the next run so it doesn't blend so well with our site. (Again, I seriously doubt that was done intentionally if you look at their site -- it's just a coincidence that they use a similar color as we do.) | | Administrator with 6,862 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: Somewhere back in the Mountain Experience: better than my sister |

#20 | I don't think anything is deliberate on their part......but it is very confusing for users here and can cause some bad rap for us from confused and discontented users thinking we are now charging, etc........ | | Distinguished Member with 54,749 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: *Random People Pleaser***Sacra Experience: Having fun |

#22 | I find this very odd: While just viewing the "Scared of Advanced users" thread, this ad was there in both places. But then coming to this thread, the ad in both places was Google Chrome! | | Administrator with 9,847 posts. | | Join Date: Feb 1999 Location: Chambersburg, PA Experience: Advanced |

Ironically, when I tried the "Ask Tech Support Now" feature (up above) & tried the Submit Question button, that too, did not work.
