Solved: Get error message when adding a 3rd line to signature
Quote:
Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 3 line(s). Lines of text longer than 90 characters may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.
If you look at the signature in this post, it's only two lines. I'm just trying to add a line with my name before the other two (making 3 lines).

Why am I getting this error, if I'm staying within the 3 line limit?

I expect this is applying to your links. Characters and code count.

Oh ok, well I guess I can shorten the first line...

I don't understand why code counts though, you don't even see it in the posts.

Edit: Fixed

404,
the name counts too, as i understand it, [3 lines is 3 lines]

line 1: 404: Name Not Found
line 2: Don't PM me questions, that's what posts are for
line 3: My Favorite Editors: Windows: Crimson Editor | Mac: Smultron | Linux: gPHPEdit

maybe do something like this?
line 1: 404: Name Not Found . . Don't PM me questions, that's what posts are for
line 2: My Favorite Editors: Windows: Crimson Editor | Mac: Smultron | Linux: gPHPEdit
line 3: [whole 'nother line to fill in]

note: the reason for the periods? - i haven't figured out what you have to do to get the 'space' to stay - [spaces and tabs get 'deleted / shortened']

A little too late, I already fixed it :-P

Before there was no "404: Name Not Found" I added that part after I posted this

Before it only had "line 2" and "line 3", but "line 2" had more stuff, like "thank you, and have a good day". After I removed that, it allowed me to post "line 1"
