#16 | Hi John, it seems to be better today, but still message box comes up only after refresh.
I would not have asked, if it would be only at my place, but my daughter has Vista and lives in town with cable- always-on internet and it happened there too, while I was checking in here.
I appreciate everyone's effort to solve this curse (I am becoming a believer in curses).
I am sure it will be as all those years before, no problem with pages loading, but is sure seems strange, Now I am on Server 4. I just have to refresh or come back later. | | Senior Member with 1,323 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Australia Experience: gettin there |

#17 | Just thought I would mention that the problem has gone for me since my internet is back to normal. I thought that was the problem in my case anyway. When mine is capped it goes to dial up speed . | | Moderator with 96,701 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: South Eastern PA, USA Experience: Advanced age & experience |

#18 | I was going to respond that this sounds like a local ISP issue, can't imagine it being the board or a lot more people would be seeing it. | | Senior Member with 1,234 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Ontario, Canada Experience: on dial-up |

#19 | You could be correct John, since I log on to the same ISP from everywhere. And I know, many more would report this problem here if it is the board. | | Distinguished Member with 3,338 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2001 Location: Roseburg, OR USA Experience: Intermediate |

#26 | report: today on Server 1, still doing it.
I am ready to pull my hair out.
Brett what browser are you using, I have FF 2.00 something, I had FF 2.99 did the same and in IE ^and IE 7 but all computers are XP. My daughter's computer is Vista, highspeed, so are names starting with "b" maybe locked by someone.

#27 | The difficulty is in trying to recreate your problems so that we can see what is going on. I, for one, do not experience any of the the things you are, and I've been on the same servers, at times, that you have. But everything is running perfectly. If we can't recreate the problem.......it's extremely difficult to trouble shoot it.

Yes, I am grasping at a straw, but who knows>>? | I am using fire fox I upgraded tp 3.5 i thought it was worse so went back to 3012..its the same.
I can get the problem on others sites on occasion to...i dont know if it is worse here or just seems that way because i spend more time on here.
Anyway it is related to my connection, when the connection is not very hot,
the browser will not attempt to load the rest, its as if it gives up to soon.
I been spending most of mytime on 7 which is very close to vista.
When ,my connection is just downright terrible xp seems to be slightly better for me.
I have used google chrome is the past but it did worse with a bad connection
Ie and ff run pretty close with this giving up.

a few weeks ago when i had a bad connection the page would keep loading even if slow or go ahead and give me a server timeout.
What is happening now is it appears if the connection is slow, something is getting confused and thinks the page is complete, and doesnt attempt to load the rest, this happens sometimes pretty fast however which is odd

#30 | Ok laura i did a refresh here to see if any new posts had arrived the page showed blank.
I went ahead and looked at the source code expecting it to be just a few lines..but that wasnt the case.
I dont see anything right off hand why i didnt get a page when the browser downloaded all the code...I am attaching the source for you to view in case i missed something
