So now I will include in my studies (this problem) also if the weather effects pages.
I know, sometimes one can't get to the bottom of the page to post because it won't move. | it is odd for sure.
I think it has something to do with some patches the browsers have come out with in an effort to reduce spyware etc,the scripts arent behaving nicely with the browsers now....just a guess.
I will go pound an all html site with sloppy code I made with frontpage and see what happens

100 tabs? I am afraid to open more than 5.
And what does it mean: Experience: Trained monkey? You or you trained monkies. I am a bit slow, so bear with my stupid question. | You're Welcome.
Maybe that will work better, though it doesn't seem so after seeing your most recent post.
Just because of the storm?
I've only ever had over 100 tabs open in FF and Opera before, not sure how it would go in other browsers.
And don't worry it's not a stupid question.
That's just an attempt at humor from me, it basically means I have the knowledge of a Trained Monkey. | | Distinguished Member with 2,315 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2003 Location: mid-atlantic |

I don't really remember since it's been awhile since I've used IE6 as my main browser but I don't think I ever had 100 windows open I think at the most it was around 20... | | Senior Member with 1,225 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Ontario, Canada Experience: on dial-up |

#66 | ok, storm over till later, according to the weatherman.
Oh yeah, dial-up gets effected a lot by storms ans also the sate;;ite TV reception. always looses signal.
K=Meleon worked until now, but who knows, have to use it longer.
I understand now, since I attempted the same, the monkey question, but my "funny" doesn't always shows thu, and sometime people say I am funny, when I didn;t intend to be, and then I did intended to be funny and denied it. #69 | Been having the same problem here today worse than usual (FF 2.0.0.20). Not sure what server, as you can't see the bottom of the page when it happens, and don't know if it hits the same server on a refresh. Seems to be just about any of them.
Seems the page is waiting for an ad to load, if that takes to long, it stops loading the rest of the page. Though today I've gotten the message from FF that the page is taking too long to load.
Status bar will show "waiting for ads.doubleclick.net", or googleads.whatever, or others. Doesn't seem to be specific, just if it takes to long the page stops loading.

#70 | I thought first too, Outcast, that it is the ads, I forgot to send my yearly donations, but even after doing that, I have no ads, but it still does the same as you described, pages just stop loading, can't post because the bottom does not show. And it is on different servers and different sections.
Where is Mike? Maybe he can tell us, why this is happening with all operating systems, many browsers and all kinds of connections. | | Administrator with 63,628 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: Quebec, Canada |

#72 | Anyone think it could be style related?
Just a thought, sorry if it was mentioned before and I just missed it.
I noticed the screen shots from brett888 were the Classic Blue style,
I'm not noticing any problems with the Khaki style.
I'll try using the Classic Blue style for awhile.
