Correct. But... it's possible all those are not humans!

I would think some of those users are crawlers and bots; yet another reason to not put your e-mail/phone number in posts.

Oh...I think you are still entirely correct about your assumption. There is a large number of actual users from that value.

It's still a very valid gauge that there were a lot of users on at that time.

Right now there are 400 guests in Random and they don't show in the individual threads..
