That menu does use JavaScript, but if you had some security software blocking JavaScript, I'd expect it to never work, not on-and-off... Also, in some browsers JavaScript menus will only work after the entire page has finished loading. That might be something to keep an eye on. Also, which browser are you using? Thanks!

I use the latest Firefox version with no add ons as yet, I have Avast and Malwarebytes but nothing else that could cause an issue as far as I'm aware.
