Cool Who closes the threads?
Just of curiosity, When a reply is posted how is it determined when that thread should be closed and by who. When I had a hard drive problem I thanked the people for their responses and said that it helped. I later noticed that the word "solved" had been placed by my thread and that later it was gone. Was it put into the Archives? I just want to know who does this and if it's the same person who made this website. At least this way more threads can be made.

Moderators or Admin have the ability to close threads or mark them Solved or Resolved. The originator of the thread can alert the moderators to an action item using the Report option under all posts and give an explaination to the action required. Also anyone can report a post or whole thread.
Now as far as closed.....Most of the time a thread will remain open after it is noted Solved or Resolved unless the originator specifies it to be closed or some rule violation has occurred. When a thread is moved to archive it of course is automatically closed.

Hope that answers your questions.

Dave
