Right Dave,
Me too the same kind of problem. When I tried to upload a photo from my computer as an avtaar, I got this dog face..(guess this is the FIRST avtaar). And believe me each happened each and every time. So I had to compromise with this avtaar

Oh yeah!!! That was funny even when I tried it. But guys you need to be patient enough when trying with to change the avatar.

User Panel->Edit Options->Change Avatar.

Now here after you upload the personal avatar(as jerricho said) be sure to select the Radio button titled "Use Custom Avatar" and then press the Submit Modifications button.

In the beginning I too uploaded an image but as I didnt select that Radio button again after uploading I had to be with that Dog face avatar for a while. But later when I tried again I was successful...

So re-check that radio button and things will be fine...

Hope this helps...

Well guys,
I think while uploading a pic from your computer you should strictly maintian the pixel limit. You cannot upload a pic whose size is greater than 50 x 50 pixels

Test
No that didn't work.
The only radio button I see is at the top of the scree after clicking, user pannel>edit options>change avitar. At the top of that screen there is "no" don't alow custem avitars. I leave that unchecked then click browse and pick an avitar I got from the TSG list of avitars and still when I test I get the dog face.
Help me,
Dave

dohbar,
You pointed me in the wright direction.
When I double clicked the file name of the avitar I wanted, the radio button you said turned it self off. when I knew to look back at this, cause of what you said, I saw I needed to reclick it.
Thankyou,
Dave

P.S. It seems sad I went to all this trouble to be Marvin the Marsion hu?
