Not currently, but maybe this should be added? You have to go to the forums (forums.techguy.org) and login under "Not Cookied?" at the bottom. If you only go to the forums, you could use them as your start page instead of techsupportguy.com

There's no real reason to log in at the homepage, cause that is where you access informational stuff, but I will say that it would probably be handier for those of you who clear your cookies to have the login box near the top.

I will say, that there is no real reason to log out fo TSG. Let the cookie reside on your system, and everytime you visit, you are automatically logged in.

Hello,
I'm one of those people who is constantly clearing their cookie file.
So, maybe i'll make an exception here and leave this one to make it more convenient for re-logging on. Or the other thing I could do also is change my opening page on my favorites menu to the forums page instead of the home page. Then when I want to start a new thread the prompt will come up to type in my password at that point. Thanks for your opinions and ideas, Hotskates...

Do you know: can you make a seperate file within the cookie file to place those cookies you want to leave on??? That would make things easier for me. I'm going to try that.

Hotskates this is possible. A 3rd party freeware cookie manager will let you view your cookies, schedule deletion and allow you to "protect" a certain cookie from being deleted.

THanks Brendandonhu,

I was able to make another file within the cookie folder, I called it the cookie jar. I'll keep my cookies in there that I don't want to delete. I'll try downloading a cookie manager later if my first idea doesn't work out. Thanks for your help. Hotskates

Hi Hot...
you know, I thought of the same thing as you. But with just a bit more. Some thing like a real home page with all the bits and bobs you always look at 1st, when you you come on (H.O.T.N) Help On The Net.com.

I..Like you, Also like to clean my "cookie's" every now and again. But would like to know away to keep the cookie's, The one's we need all the time.

And to get shut of the rest of the S@*T we all get. I would love to know if your "IDEA" of making a cookie jar. I thought of the same thing as you.

Have a look at (H.O.T.N) in this forum about a home page and wot could be on it.

See You L8R. LooY (",)

Hiya LOOY

If you go to your cookie folder, in Win98 in C:\Windows\Cookies.

Then, Highlight all the cookies, and, by holding down the Ctrl button, click on the ones you want to keep, including the Dat file if its visible.

At work now, but I think here is forums.techguy.

Then, the highlighted ones can be deleted, leaving the ones you want. Thats what I do
