New Forum
How about a HTML forum if someone has already suggested it then theres even more reason to make one. It would be much more helpful for me as I think the development forum is more advanced and also I dont think HTML questions belong in the Web & E-mail forum. Just an idea!

I'd like to gently disagree with this one.

I find it useful to have the HTML threads in the "development" forum. HTML is one tool that I use to create web pages... but there are so many other things that I need to consider, and to integrate into my web page structure.

A couple of examples...

When you code HTML forms, you need to also use cgi scripts to process the form. And Javascript can sometimes be an alternative to using a perl program, within the context of designing special features on an HTML page. So, it's useful to have all the development tools be talked about in one place... they're all potential alternatives to be mixed and matched within your page of HTML.

I'm still very much a newbie, so I can't offer a better explanation that this... but my "gut instinct" says we're better off keeping all the development tools together, because they all overlap.

mishkan: If I were new to html and reading what you wrote above...I'd be lost! So I can see Tarq's point. Maybe the poster could state they are new and not to answer in an advanced way? Just an opinion mish, not a put down!

Did you get the lighthouse pix to your friend's daughter yet? Which was your favorite? I told you I liked the purple one and the one at night, the last one. I bet Heaven is like that all the time. Take care. angel

I agree. Instead of funneling the newbie questions into a separate forum, the newbie could just say he's a newbie and ask for an easy-to-understand answer.

I loved all the actual photos... better than the graphics even. I'm actually going to post them on a private web page that I've set up, so lots of friends and family can see them. Once the pages are all done, I'll copy all the files to a CD, so his daughter can keep them and hold onto them. Then, she can upload them anywhere she wants and make any changes. So far, the site includes all the email updates she had sent everyone to keep us all in the loop throughout his treatments, information on where to send donations in lieu of flowers, and his sister's eulogy for him. I have more things to add, too. Thanks for asking.

This was all off topic, though, so we should get back on track.
