Solved: Reply at the top???
How come I don't see a "Reply" at the top of the page, but only at the bottom?

Did we forget to put one there, or am I just not seeing it?

I don't think there has ever been a Reply button at the top of the page. I see only one at the bottom.

At first I wondered why since you're usually at the bottom of the thread when you'd be replying but you must have your thread display showing the newest first so you have to read from the bottom upwards instead of downwards (like normal people ). BTW, I'm pulling your leg and that's supposed to be a "big grin" but it's hard to tell with these.....errr.....bunnies).

I suppose Mike (TechGuy) could put one up there for those who read the threads that way. We'll have to wait and see what he says.

I always read the posts with the newest one on top. I don't even see how to change the view setting. Please advise.

"Hopping" the bunnies will scram by Monday.

Yikes!! I'm not a "normal people"? LOL!!! Not the first time I've found that out. I guess I adhere to the old saying: "Why be normal?" I say yah, why indeed! Everyone else isn't, so why should I? LOL!!!

Click on "My Account" at the top of the screen beside the Tech Support Guy logo then from the left-hand side select "Edit Options" then scroll down to where it says "Thread Display Options" and under "Thread Display Mode" click on the arrow to see other options and select " Linear - Oldest fFrst". Then go all the way down to the bottom and click on "Save Changes" and you will be normal again!

Oh... I just figured out why I have my view set to display posts upwards instead of downwards.
I guess when I make a post, I like it to be at the top of the heap instead of underneath everyone else's posts. Apparently I'm claustrophobic with my posts.

No; you probably just like to be on top?

Well you're entitled to have it the way you want to even if it's not normal.

There had to be a reason you set it that way since it's not the "default" (aka normal) setting.

LOL!!
Yup, and I also figured out the "real" reason why I did that. When I login to the forum, and also click on links to threads, it always starts with the top of the page showing. Right? So, if you have the newest posts on top, then you'll see them right away without having to scroll to the bottom of the page all the time. Make sense?? I guess it does to me. Juss seems more logical and easier to me. Maybe the forum automatically scrolls to the bottom post when set to the oldest first?? If so, then you don't get to see the top of the page where all the links are..."My Account", "New Posts", "Quick Links"... etc., etc.

Now that you've thought about it for awhile, I just knows you're gonna change yours too. Hahahaha
You'll be sure to let me know when you do that, right?

Why not hold my breath?? Are you implying that you won't change your page view setting? I thought for sure I had a rather compelling reason for a "newest first" post view setting. Apparently my powers of persuasion are not as strong as I thought. LOL!!! <<< Okay, I'm tired of those bunnies already.

Hmmm... back to thread topic.... I'm still not seeing that reply button on the top of the page here. The tech guys must still be eating breakfast.
Noticed too that the reply link at the bottom right of each post doesn't always work. I did it once and it dropped the page down to that quick reply box with the cursor already in it, which I s'pose is what it is suppose to do. ??? Doesn't always do it though... least for me anyway... but then I'm not normal.

You'll never convince me.

That one is only if you want to quote multiple posts so you click on it for each post that you want to quote (that's why each post has one) and then type your reply and when you post all the quotes will be there.
