I tried it for a bit..very disorientating to say the least

But technically the button is still after the last post...Which is at the bottom...just because the posts are arranged wrong with the latest at the top..doesnt make it the last post..makes it the first post

I have used that to..when I wasnt including a reply...such as looking over a few posts to get a feel of the topic and having to go up a few posts ..I would hit quote then back space out the content to make the editor empty then type my post.
I use a laptop and the original driver for the laptop didnt have any kind of decent scroll function..is why I was doing as above on occasion..now I use the end key on the keyboard..and it takes me straight to the bottom

I am jealous ...can I get a little script added{added to top of page} that takes me to the bottom of the page.

I was actually being serious...little arrow down or something..some pages are long...I have mine set to 20 posts..but still some can be rather long....especially in some of the tech threads.

Thats what I have been doing/I mentioned that a few posts up
I just have to hit end though.

But yet I cant help but feel jealous as this advice wasnt offered in lieu of the 'no reply' button at the top

The OP didnt want to have to scroll down to hit reply is why the thread was started I believe...the keyboard shortcut would take one to the bottom where the reply button is

But why do you have to hit End? I never do. When you read the thread, after the last post that's where the Reply button is already. In fact, if I hit End it takes me past the Reply button and I have to scroll back up to it.

And just to make you jealouser, if you go to the very bottom on the right-hand side you will see the word Top. That's a link that takes you right to the top of the page.

If I am re reading the last page for instance..I may re read some previous posts to get a feel of the topic for instance.

End while taking you to the bottom does have "advanced" showing..which is the same editor as "reply" I think..I will try it after this post.

But anyway..I went for ages before using "end" on long pages...a very nice shortcut{when on a laptop}

I could have swore I saw a "view first unread" earlier by the new reply button but am not seeing it now.

I will cruise some unread threads and see what happens with that

Just tried it out....first unread is still there as long as the pages isnt refreshed

Yes but I keep the Quick Reply closed (not expanded) so I don't see that and it goes beyond the Reply button.

But after a refresh I had to hit "end" to go to the latest post....."go to bottom" sure would be nice
