Hi there , now i need help on making a chat for my game client . I searched everywhere , but i cannot find a solution ... I need this to work on at least WinXP . I attached an image of the chat layout , if possible please follow it . Thanks in advance .

If you google "vb.net chatting applications" you will find loads of examples.

I'm sorry, but I personally won't get down in the weeds with you on this. Too many vulnerabilities exist and the potential for violating people's privacy could come into play. I'm not saying or insinuating you have bad intentions, just saying I don't want my advice involved.

Besides, if I were you, I would find an out of the box solution that is legally covered by an entity other than yourself.

Thanks , but I've got a special login system that only the members of my clan have accounts of . For the username i can just use My.settings.username

Probably the easiest way would be to use winsock for a client server application. Its pretty basic and if you google winsock you'll find lots of examples
