Question Members online.
Hi,

I have a forum (hosted with proboads) , and when members login it shows there name in the members online info box on the main page. I would like to have it so that on the other forums at the bottom, it shows who is online in, So then people would not have to go back to the main page to see who is online. How could I do this? does the board use a cookie, so that when the user revisits the board it shows the name in the online box? if so, is there a way to reuse the cookie on the other forums to display that they are online?

hope someone can help

Peter

Just change the query for the page to filter for users that are currently visiting that page. the home page will show all memebers. What does the query look like for all users??

Sorry, i'm not sure I understand what ya said. lol

With the board I run, it is hosted by proboards. So i can't edit any of the templates. only thing I can do is add html, javascript (any code) etc into the headers or footers on any of the forums. Is there a script I could alter so that it would use same cookie that displays the name and put into each forum.

Cheers

Peter

Unless you have control of the scripts you are out of luck I am afraid. Ask the hosting service....maybe they wil tweak it for you.
