I tried searching for it for someone about 2 weeks ago, but couldn't find it for some reason.

I haven't tried looking again though.

I have Microsoft Virtual Machine on a CD I burned.

the filename is msjavx86.exe

The version is 5.0.3802.0

5.24MB file size

Not sure if it's the newest version or not and I think the particular file I have is for win98.

Anyways with that info, it should be easier to find it.

IE6 SP1 is suppose to come with Virtual Machine, but if virtual machine is messed up, a reinstall of IE or a repair, doesn't always fix virtual machine and that's when you need the actual setup file.

Now as for sun java. Here's a suggestion.

goto start-settings-control panel-java plugin

now on the basic tag, make sure you have "do not start" console selected.

uncheck "show java in system tray"

uncheck "show exception dialog"

!very important!
Then on the advanced tab for the Java Runtime enviroment, do not set it to usa java-plugin default. Change it to

JRE 1.4.1_01 in c:\program files\java\j2re1.4.1_01

Then apply !/very important!

Then under the browser section make sure you have internet explorer checked.

Then in start-settings-control panel-internet properties-advanced

under Java(sun) section, make sure "Use Java 2 1.4.1_01 for applet (requires restart)" is checked

Then everything should be fine sun java. If you dont' have that version, you should download it or the newest version, uninstall your current version and then install the version above or a newer version if there is one.
